What does Confirmation on Wednesday Nights look like?
- 7th-9th grade Confirmation Ministry
- 9th Graders will alternate between the Confirmation small groups and Senior High Drop In.
Confirmation begins at Lake Harriet UMC when the youth is entering 7th grade and they are confirmed the spring of their 9th grade year. These 7th - 9th grade youth meet weekly on Wednesday nights in small groups with adult leaders, and learn about the Christian faith, Methodist faith, and the history of the Church in general. Lessons encourage small group discussion, discovery, and spiritual growth and are on a three year rotation cycle. The youth will spend one year with Jesus, one year with the Old Testament, and one year with the New Testament.
YAP Nights
Youth and Parent Night during Confirmation. On these weeks, at least one parent of each 7th - 9th grader is asked to come and participate with confirmation for the night. This is a great time for connecting with other families and having some meaningful faith-related discussion within your own families!
