Please join us to welcome Deborah Richman, Vice President of Education and Outreach at the Alzheimer’s Association Minnesota-North Dakota, as she presents how communication takes place when someone has Alzheimer’s disease by:

  • Explaining the communication changes that take place throughout the course of the disease
  • Decoding the verbal and behavioral messages delivered by someone with dementia and respond in ways that are helpful to the person
  • Identifying strategies to connect and communicate at each stage of the disease

This presentation is targeted to caregivers or family members who have been affected by Alzheimer’s disease or anyone interested in learning more about effective communication to those with dementia.
