Remember when…
1981 — A tornado tore across the Twin Cities topping the Edina Theater, hitting the Lake Harriet Rose Garden, causing one death and 83 injuries.1987 — Ten inches of rain left three feet of water in the basement of LHUMC.
2006 — A surprise tornado killed one person in Rogers, MN.
2007 — Torrential rains flooded the hills and valleys of southeastern Minnesota.
2008 — A tornado made a mess of a Hugo, MN neighborhood.

Are We Ready?
The General Conference of the United Methodist Church is prepared to respond to a disaster any place in the world by providing the assistance of UMCOR, the United Methodist Committee on Relief.The Minnesota Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church is prepared to respond to a disaster in Minnesota with a trained Early Disaster Response Team.
Lake Harriet United Methodist Church is developing a Disaster Response Plan to establish Preparedness Protocol and Response Actions in-the-event of a disaster.
