Have you always thought “that theatre stuff” looked like fun, but for other people, not for you? Are you curious about participating in Lake Harriet Player’s upcoming spring musical (Oliver!) but feeling a little nervous? Are you an experienced actor or singer looking to brush up on your skills?
Join Director (and actor, dancer, choreographer) Lon Church , Musical Director Kathy Webb, and Lake Harriet Players Board member (and actress) Rachel Bridges, for this fun, interactive workshop.
We’ll explore some basic theatre and singing skills (everyone can do it!), tools for battling nerves and stage fright, and you’ll get a sneak peak (and trial run) at the audition process for our upcoming musical in a safe, supportive and low-stakes environment. Whether or not you decide to audition on Saturday, December 2, you’ll leave this workshop with tools that will serve you at work, in school and in your daily life.
Lake Harriet Players has been bringing communities together since 2001 through “open for all” musical productions each spring. Anyone is welcome to participate in our shows.
